Cookies are small files a website can store on your computer or phone to remember things about your visit. This page explains exactly which cookies our website uses, and just as importantly, which ones it does not.
Version: 3.0
Last updated: 11th June 2026
The Short Version
Our website sets no cookies for analytics or advertising. We rebuilt the site in 2026 as a modern static website, and we deliberately kept tracking to a minimum:
- Our analytics tool, Matomo, runs in cookie-free mode. It shows us anonymous information about which pages are popular without storing anything on your device.
- We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or any other third-party trackers.
- Because of this, you will not see a cookie consent banner on our site. There is nothing to consent to.
Cookies You May Still See
A small number of cookies can still appear in two specific situations:
Enquiry and sign-up forms
Our forms are provided by ActiveCampaign, the email service we use to send you property alerts you have asked for. When a page with a form loads, ActiveCampaign may set a cookie (named prism_) that links your enquiry to your visit, so we know your form arrived. It is only used to deliver the service you are asking for.
Embedded content
A small number of our articles embed content from other websites, such as a video player. When you view a page with embedded content, the provider of that content may set its own cookies, under its own cookie policy.
How To Manage Cookies
You can set your browser to restrict or block cookies if you wish. Because our own site barely uses them, blocking cookies will not break your reading experience here, although a third-party form or video may not work fully. For instructions for your browser, see www.allaboutcookies.org.
For the full picture of what data we collect and your rights, see our privacy policy.
